Michael Herbert

Mr. Michael Wayne Herbert was born to the late Betty Joyce Price and Father by Heart, Billy Joe Price on August 3, 1965 in Tyler, Texas.  He attended Orr Elementary School, Boulter Middle School and graduated from John Tyler High School.  He worked faithfully at Brookshire’s for 25 years and later worked at Orora Company.  He found joy and community at Hopewell Valley Baptist Church, where he sang in the Male Chorus and other choirs during the early part of his life.  In his younger years, Mike earned the nickname, “Money Mike” for his impressive basketball skills.  He remained actively involved in sports for many years, showcasing both talent and passion.      

Mike, departed this life on September 19, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Joyce Price, Father by Heart, Billy Joe Price, and one baby brother born into Heaven.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Elizabeth Adair, three siblings, Verlin Herbert (Patricia), Cheryl Horne (Benjamin), and Roderick Price, Arlington TX.; special daughter, Jasmine Walker, four nephews, Wayneard Nellums, III. (Kayla), Aaron Herbert, David Horne, V.J. Herbert (Petra), Latricia Bryan (Blake), LaKendra Johnson, Ashley Horne, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, one uncle, cousins, and a host of other family and close friends.
